Dr Harrell is a native Oklahoman, Having grown up in Oklahoma City. As an undergraduate he attended The University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma City University and obtained his bachelors degree in Biology from Central State University in Edmond, Oklahoma. He then attended The University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry where he received his DDS degree in 1980. He and his wife Tiena ( a native Lawtonian ) settled in Lawton shortly after Dental School and have three children, Lindsay, Brent and Sydney. Lindsay is a graduate of OU and is now a first grade teacher in Norman, Okla. Brent and Sydney are both attending The University of Oklahoma. Brent hopes to become a Dentist also. Dr Harrell has been active in organized Dentistry and is a member of The American Dental Association, The Oklahoma Dental Association, Past President of The Comanche County Dental Association and He is also a member of the American College of Oral Implantology, He is also a "Fellow" of the International Congress of Oral Implantology Implant Prosthodontistic section. He is a former member of the board of Directors for Delta Dental of Oklahoma. He has training in Sedation Dentistry and is a member of The Dental Organization for Concious Sedation. Although he practices all phases of general dentistry, Dr Harrell has extensive experience and expertise in cosmetic and restorative dentistry and has a special interest in Dentures and Implants.Dr Harrell received advanced Implant Training at The Prestigious Misch Implant Institute in Pittsburg Pa. and has been surgically placing and restoring Dental Implants since 1987. When not doing Dentistry, He enjoys fly fishing for trout, four wheeling and Jeeping in the mountains with his family and friends.
